Summer Holidays

Summer Holidays - Megan Southon blog

Summer holidays (in Australia). Time to swim. Time to relax. Time to be with family. And time to blog!

Exams are finished and school is out. Yes, I need time for a reprieve, but I like to be able to look back on my day and feel accomplished. I’ve messed around with websites and blogs for years, and I’m ready to create something concrete.

I’ll be sharing a variety of blogs, and ideas are still circulating in my mind. Currently, I have several ideas for blog series.

Life As An Australian Girl

Apparently Australians are fascinating to others. I don’t know about that. Maybe people think we ride emus to school, spend every hour at the beach and die from a dangerous Australian animal, at least 90% of the time. So I’ll be sharing about how my life is NOT like that.

Book Reviews

I’m a writer, so I’m a reader. That’s a given. Christian books for teen girls are hard to find. Christian books for teen girls that are actually good are nearly impossible to find. But I have found a few of them and am excited to share them.

Those Funny Moments

Those funny moments…that actually can have a deep meaning. With a brother and a 1:4 girl to boy ratio in my year, funny things happen every day. Some stupid, some with a deeper meaning. I’ll focus on sharing the meaningful ones, but I might mention the stupid ones too!

Short Stories

Not all ideas can be turned into a novel, or even a 10,000 word story. Neither do I have the time or want-to to write several novels at once. And I’m guessing you don’t want to read that much either. But I can’t just let those ideas go to waste!

There you have it. That’s my plan, subject to change at any given moment.

Happy holidays (to Australians)! And have a wonderful day to everyone else!

Megan

P.S. I don’t have really crazy stories, but there are many interesting stories to share about living Down Under.
