Turtles at Bundaberg

Turtle hatchlings at Bundaberg! These cute little guys were well worth the drive.

As the turtles scrambled towards the ocean, they followed the light. Some followed the light from the torches that were leading them to the ocean, some followed the moonlight up the beach, and some followed the artificial lights of onlookers and houses nearby.

With a ‘little’ help, they all made it to the ocean, and I’m going to naively believe they’re all swimming to their little hearts content and will one day return to the exact same beach!
